Those near and dear to me know a pair of knitting needles is rarely out of my hands, but a crochet hook..well thats another matter!
For more years than I care to remember I have been trying to follow a crochet pattern, but I have to admit to being totally useless at it! I can manage the basic stitches, but add a bit of instruction and it all goes wrong!
I recently discovered the cute little creatures created using Amigurumi ( how is it pronounced???) and when I saw this very affordable book in this months issue of The Book People, with claims such as " Designed with simplicity in mind......the perfect book for beginners...made up of only the easiest stitches" I thought this HAS to be tried....then when I read "all patterns are so simple and easy to follow all you need is a hook and a few basic stitches" I thought surely even I can do it!! So, today my parcel arrived and here is the gorgeous book. I hope to soon be able to give my two children their very own "super cute" toy, made using Japanese crochet for the first time!!
